Okay, this years pickups; a shit ton of 8th gen. I mostly sat this generation out after my Wii U and Vita flopped hard, so now I'm going ham.

First time playing Rez. Yeah, I know. How dare me. Liked what I played a lot. I was always under the impression it was just a rhythm game and I don't like those. No one told me it was a shooter. Yeah, an atmoswave game. And the mission stick I have wanted for over 20 years but never had the right opportunity nor price where it seemed worth it. I got this one really inexpensive and in good shape. I don't even know what I will play on it. Just to me way back then I thought it was the coolest, sleekest most futuristic peripheral much like the DC itself back then.

Feast your eyezzzz. I broke a rule of mine - buying another NIS America RPG. However, this is a decent action game, and the first one isn't bad. Picked up the standard DQ XI because I didn't want to suffer the oddly downgraded 3D graphics of the SE, the 2D mode, or any of that. I want to play this game because it looks magnificent, not interested in an SNES equivalent. Driveclub servers are gone, but you CAN still play this game offline. Also, mini-golf game that's not a budget Wii title, or just a digital download only? I'll take it!

Werewolf, that'll have to wait until I get a Series. Some day.

The problem with DQXI basic is a lot of story content isn't there and the music is fucking garbage. Not just bad midi but bad compositions where S mainly fixes it with orchestra and the HORRIBLE ANNOYING world map theme from XI vanilla can be swapped out for DQ8 which is godly. The visual downgrade is worth the trade. I'd go get a refund because Vanilla DQXI is ear rape plus the extra story content is not there that is worth having. the 16-bit stuff is optional at any time and I never used it.

Story, as in… you can’t complete the game? Or just stuff they added? To be honest orchestra is some of my least favorite music to hear in games, but music is very subjective. So if the game turns me into a DQ fanatic maybe I’ll buy the DLC.

You can complete it but it adds a lot to the characters. It's not sold as DLC tho. It was created with Switch hardware and later ported to PS4. The Switch version used a more modern version of UE4 that PS4/Xbox didn't support.
