Wrath of Khan is great. I just wish not every other film in the franchise copied it. Always some man who wants revenge. OG film and IV are true to Trek in them being creative to solve the problem.
The Motion Picture? Yes, it has some positive aspects and redeeming qualities but IV is painfully and awkwardly laughable. The Admiral, who had the smarts of using the prefix code when all seemed lost, now becomes Jacques Cousteau? Even The Final frontier was leaps and bounds ahead of its predecessor and that says a lot.
It's true. It's damn true. From '82 thru '86 the franchise gave us the epic II and III and then essentially finished the trilogy with time travel searching for whales because a tampon in space needs to hear from Gracie and George?
Yes, that was a horrible idea for a story.
A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."
I think he made a funny.)

Stopped watching "New" Trek after watching the garbage that was the second movie. Absolute cack. Refused to watch anything made past that. DS9 is the best series imo, used to love Voyager, but DS9 really outshines it as I got older; if anything, Voyager has aged liked milk in some regards.
I like TNG and have fond memories catching it on BBC2 bitd. Rewatching it back to back a few years back, and it's mostly kept it's quality. Not seen much of TOS, not really got around to it, but want to. Enjoyed the OG movies, except Nemesis which was pretty cack too. IMO First Contact is the best of the Picard movies.
I gave up on Deep Space Nine after first episode of Season Five. Awful show. Never liked Avery Brooks acting, and I think the fact that they would flirt with wars and conflict only to switch to a team-up moment or act like it never happened made the show too erratic for me. Wholly do not recommend. TNG is miles better than DS9.
My favorite is the original series. I like all of the action. There are some really weird episodes that should be skipped, probably a side-effect of the show being made in the sixties.
My favorite movies are Wrath of Khan and First Contact. Star Trek IV is not bad if you consider it a comedy first. And the first movie is like watching old sci-fi, movies like 2001 come to mind.
I couldn't watch DS9 either. Too boring. I really enjoyed the tribbles episode though.
