My Sega NTSC-U Database Project is Complete!

Hey everyone, a few months back I made a post about a Sega Genesis database I was building because I wanted a fun way to browse and the consoles library. I started off with couple letters live as a proof of concept.

As of today, EVERY NTSC-U games in now in the database!

My asks:
Anyone willing to poke around to find issues would be very appreciated! I've spent tons hours working on this, and $1000s to build it. I hope other people find it useful as I'd love to expand this to other systems! I'm just one person building this and any extra eyes are or so helpful.

If you have ANY of missing manuals please reach out to me. We're trying to get to 100% manual completion as well and have made so much progress.

Notes:
Genres are still being refined for better filtering.
"Also On" Filter is not complete as not every game is linked with it's corresponding ports yet.

NTSC-J & PAL games will be added next

Some questions:

Is it possible to reset an individual filter category if I don't want to reset all? For example, if I have several filters set including year, but I want to clear out year and keep all of the other filters. Now it doesn't appear possible, and I just wondered if that's something feasible.

Are you really committed to having the fake pieces of tape over the back boxart and screenshot? I might prefer it without, but if you like it I won't complain.

It's not at the moment, it's a limitation I've trying to solve because I agree here. Really dislike having to reset all the filters just because you might have enabled one you want to turn off.

For the tape, I'm not locked in on the idea - but believe it or not I've gotten a lot of people who say they like it. If more people feel like it's get in the way of the UX I'd get rid of it.

This is a really cool project, thanks for all the effort. Will you be able to upload the instruction manual for Fighting Masters? That thing is tough to track down.

Thanks, I'm going to look into how that didn't make it on the DB. Also Fighting Maters should be added soon, it's hard to say for sure but I was offered the manual - fingers crossed the owner is able to make time to scan it in for me.

Mega Drive & Genesis have been merged into the main view game browser

NTSC-U / NTSC-J / PAL are now at 100% completed as far as I can verify they don't require sorting anymore because the artwork is completed.

Please let me know if anything doesn't look right!

I'm trying to get a definitive list together and I think you are missing a few...

This thread has 707 total which I think is correct for the full NTSCU library: https://www.sega-16.com/forum/showth...ight=ntsc+list

Digitpress has 706 listed for NTSC Genesis but their list doesn't include Outback Joey as part of the list.

Sega Retro and Wikipedia's lists seem a bit off too so I'm leaning towards the 707 being the total count (official and unlicensed released between 89-98).
