Default Black Jewel Reborn - New Game!!!

Good afternoon, I present to your attention the first video from the game from our team PSCD Games and Oscar Celestini - Black Jewel Reborn.

This is a very early beta and we haven't added everything to the game yet, but soon we will add the missing elements to the game and show them to you.

We have opened a pre-order for the game in our store - https://pscdgames.com/

The sprites are small, but that could help make it a unique experience, and it still looks very nice. Good luck with this!

Thank you, I think you will like the game in the final, regardless of the size of the sprites)) Since there will be big ones))

Yes, for some reason many people compare the game with Rastan))

Tiny Character, hopefully means massive bosses. Looking forward to see more.

The large sprites in Rastan Saga II are part of what ruined it.

Sure, but tiny and huge are not the only options available. You don't have to go for an extreme. The hero sprite of the first Rastan was still taller than Black Jewel Reborn's (48px tall vs 32px tall, from what I can see). I'm not saying it's necessarily a bad choice here (and yes, it allows for huge bosses, comparatively), but it just stood out to me.

The original on Steam is nice and this port indeed looks like a conversion from a C64 game to the Mega Drive.
Wonder if a port of Mastema is comming next.

Large sprites were the least of Rastan Saga II's concern. It was an arcade game through-and-through. The movement, weight, enemy placement, power up system, all rewarded knowledge of level and enemy layouts.

I don't think Rastan Saga II was as good as Rastan, but I don't think it was a terrible game, but any stretch of the imagination. The Megadrive Version really fixed a ton of issues with that game. It's quite a fun game on the MD in my opinion.

The problem with big sprites back then was that it limited the animation frames. I'll take a game with smaller sprites and detailed animation any day over a game that looks and feels sluggish like Rastan II. At least the home ports fixed the issues with the controls and hit detection, the original arcade game is almost unplayable. The one thing it has going for it is the soundtrack, it uses a combination of FM synth and samples that sounds very good for the time.

We don't promise you very huge ones, but there will definitely be a little more main characters))

Big or small size for a character, what's the difference, the main thing is that the game is fun to play.
