arcade Sega R360 Arcade machine found in Land field (roughly 200 supposedly were made)

[Damn, didn't notice this article was from 2021, still sad]

Yea, someone decided to just toss one of these into the land field and nature already did it's course on it.

If you haven't seen one in action, it's freaking wild

It's reported that it's beyond repair, so would you still take it or...?

That's a shame. I've read these were difficult to repair even when they were new, with all that rust it's beyond any hope now.

The only similar cabinet that I've ever entertained buying was Galaxy Force II (the Super Deluxe version). It's just such a big investment for only one game. To even fit it into my game room, I would either need to move at least three of the pinball machines or build an addition. Decided emulation wasn't so bad after all.

It's unfortunate, but you can't save everything. Things like that will inevitably end up in scrapyards eventually, just feel fortunate that some units have survived.

It's a shame but yeah that unit pretty much looks like toast. To restore it would cost a lot of money and probably would have to be rebuilt from the ground up.

It had the luck of the Irish. Some bloke dumped it in a field in Ireland.
A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."
