    Opa-Opa Better rail shooter REZ or Panzer Dragoon?

    For simplicity's sake, I am keeping this to just Panzer Dragoon 1 as Rez technically isn't a series. Now if you want to include the remaster and remakes to make a decision that's fine.

    ================================================== =====================

    I find rez a much more difficult game. But I love its style more, I love that era of SEGA with so much style with funky music. From Jet Set Radio to Space Channel Number 5.

    Panzer Dragoon has a beautiful lush world with one of SEGA's best soundtracks ever. You know PD upon the first couple notes of that theme. The game is kinda emotional to me despite no real dialogue and the cutscenes are sparse. Perhaps if I were more skilled as a player I'd choose Rez but I'm choosing Panzer Dragoon.

    Both ooze creativity.

    It's not even a contest, unless you have a transvibrator and your lady wants to vote.
    A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."

    I love both equally, I can't choose! I love how Panzer Dragoon has a mysterious immersive world, that feels like a considered, detailed place with layers and intracacy that can't be explained but can be discovered and wondered about.

    Rez feels immersive in a more sensory way, and is a real trip.

    My all time favourite album is Jeff Wayne's Musical Version Of The War Of The Worlds: Panzer Dragoon sort of hits that vibe for me with soundtrack, I just adore it.

    I'm a big Chemical Brothers fan too, Rez fits that gap for me so I love playing and listening to that, so I bought the OST for the car. I love State Of Art and Mind Killer.

    I love simple rail shooter games too, so these titles are a match made in heaven for me, especially with the music being so great.

    Panzer Dragoon is my fav game of all time, but I like REZ to play more. Area 5 with Adam Freeland soundtrack is like a out of body experience, it's just so utterly amazing.

    I was lucky enough to see to see this great musician in Ibiza in 1999 on a club 18 to 30 holiday GOD I wish I could have those day back.

    Adam Freeland live is incredible

    If anyone is interested. Panzer Dragoon Remake is $2.50 on PS4. Plays so much better and looks amazing now.

    I got it for the Switch last year. I hope that they fixed the rapid fire on it. It wasn't working very well, the last time I'd played it.

    It works but I had to go replay my Saturn version to see what you meant and then play the PS4 version. It's not as rapid if that's what you mean. It responded to me every time on PS4 but it's a slower fire. I don't know if that is on purpose for balancing reasons or not. I feel the lock on is more responsive than the Saturn version and maybe that was a counterbalance choice? I have no idea tbh.

    It was kind of off-putting to me. I've played a ton of the game on the Saturn and the rapid fire strategies I'd used on that game, just didn't work with the update. They shouldn't have made that change.
