Default Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Arcade 1Up announced.

Yet still no modern home port more recent than the PS3/XBLA Digital versions...what gives Capcom?

Has it been explained what platform of the game this would be running? I just assumed a straight emulation of the arcade ROM would be beyond what their hardware could support.

Max explained it. They guy who used to work at Capcom who made a lot of this happen left to work at Arcade1up and made it happen again. I will stick to my DC copy for now. I wish it had EVERY Capcom vs Game like SNK or Tatsunoko which IMO deserves to be freed more than the others.

    Life?!...What console is that on?

Sounds like an actual port then instead of emulation, good for them. would buy if I had the space.

Considering they have plenty of other relatively modern games, I dont think everything they put out is just a cheap raspberry pi inside.

It will have online play with the cabs so it likely is a port. I would also like to see a Street Fighter Alpha and Street Fighter 3 machine with similar netplay, since the only options right now are the 30th Anniversary which no one plays and Fightcade, unless you have a PS3 or 360 with Street Fighter 3rd Strike Online Edition

Being that they couldn't use MAME, I'm curious as to what Naomi emulator they managed to license for this release.
