    Megadrive Eliminate Down

The Genesis is home to many a shmup, boasting a total library of over seventy. And just when you think you've saved the planet from an alien invasion one too many times, another game comes along that's worth checking out. This time around it's Eliminate Down, an import title that can run upwards of $150 on eBay. There's a reason why people are so eager to pay big bucks for this one folks, and it definitely has more to do with quality than rarity. Why not don your flight suit one more time and check out our full review? The planet will thank you for it!

    Soft Vision International?

If you can afford Eliminate Down then I do recommend buying it. It's a great game with great gameplay.

Shortly after I did the review for the game I had to pay some bills. So I sold my copy.

I will miss ED, but it's going to another gamer who'll play the living shit out it hands.

If I can afford to get the game again in the future I would buy it again.

of course in the end its all subjective, but imo if you put enough time into them, and especially if love old-school shmups, you'll find that its actually TF4 thats is overrated and that ED is much better, and it has nothing to do with its rarity. just my 2 cents

I was gonna do this. But gave it to Uri. It bored me and I want to beat the games before reviewing them. I never passed level five, but will try it again someday.

Rather a bit overrated then overpayed,i rather throw my 2 cents into a just better game then throw my 200 euro into this wich is cool but lesser, the sound i so hard on the ear sounds like a metal factory while tf has better music, better graphics and better play but not by a milestone ahead. Why should tf4 be overrated,it works fine and is actually beatable on normal for even a shooter noob its beatable.

A good shooter... but there are a lot equivalent shooters on the Genesis that won't run you $150 dollars.

    Megadrive

Yeesh! the game is hard. Its one of those that you can't beat without having your ship being fully powered up . I am enjoying how smoothly it runs and notice no slow downs at all, maybe cause I have my genesis switch to 10mhz lol. I ain't giving up though and really recommend it for shmup fans.

This song has been stuck in my head for hours now :P

Look at the quote before yours. Perfect segue, despite the gap of 3 years.

This. = The quote before yours. It was so apt I mistook it for Aarzak's.
Trouble Shooter 2 was the previous high priced game you bought just before ED, no?
    Not a puzzle.

edit: read the post before it as well.

Yes but I got ED for much less than what I paid for TS2, TF2 had the highest amount I paid for a game and I am glad that I got ED for a good deal cause now I don't have to even think of going to the $400 range for it anymore. :P

This is one of the top shooters of the console. The soundtrack kicks ass. Glad I got my copy at a decent price a few years back.
