    Default Homebrew?

I remember two or 3 homebrew and beta releases being made for the SegaCD. Were these any good?

Rastersoft's Frog Feast is a homebrew, but I don't know how well it plays.

older games and good deal games have both published either beta or homebrew games. I've never played any of them but I plan on buying some of them in August after I return to San Diego where the shipping is cheaper than it is here in Canada.

Having played the preview version available from that page, Rastersoft should include a tape recording of a laugh track in the parcel the game is shipped in. That way, when you open the box, the laugh track plays and you feel like the target of some horrible joke (which you are) for having actually purchased this.

I just about died laughing there. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!

    *pause*

Is it really that bad? I was just kidding around...

I downloaded the Genesis version and couldn't for the life of me figure out what to do. The fact that I lost interest before it even booted up may or may not have had something to do with that.

You can hop left and right on the lilypads by tapping your desired direction. Pressing 'A' causes you to leap into the air, sailing forward, with additional mid-air jammings on 'A' triggering your tongue extension. Falling in the water lets you move left and right by simply holding the direction instead of tapping it.

The game consists of one screen.
    No computer opponent.
    No score counter.
    Seemingly no objective.

The Frog Feast experience can be summed up in one word: deep!

Citizen X and Star Strike are good. Marko is an okay platformer, and is barely distinguishable from its original cart release. Battle Frenzy is pretty lame. Bug Blasters: The Exterminators isn't great, but it's kind of cute/appealing.

Does anyone know what the deal is with Mighty Mighty Missile? Is it exactly the same as Chu Chu Rocket with bad sprites, or what?

It could be that the absolutely shameless Chu Chu Rocket plagiarism is simply a false front hiding away the true treasure hidden deep within Mighty Mighty Missile.

That's right. Frog Feast: Director's Cut.
