Since I can't go to sleep, I will be making a new thread related to old tech. It will be in this subforum.

Pulled an old Jeff Speakman LD off the shelf. Going to give it a spin.

I met Jeff once. Had my picture taken with him at a karate tournament (no clue where that picture is at). If I met him again, I'd have to ask him about the time Zane Frazier introduced Frank Dux to Speakman's autograph table.

Dux gives Seagal a tough run for his money when it comes to fantasy and all around embellishment.

Recently treated myself to a good condition copy of Super Castlevania IV and it arrived the other day. Fired up my SNES today to play it for the first time and I love it! The music and atmosphere is fantastic and the gameplay is first class. I can see myself playing this one for awhile to come. My only experience with the Castlevania series up to now was New Generation/Bloodlines on my Mega Drive, and that is also excellent. Happy to now own arguably two of the best entries in this classic franchise.

?? No it's quite different. In that post I'd just ordered the game and now I have it and was sharing my initial impressions. Pay attention.

I can see not having a full rom list on these
mini systems they have been selling for retro
systems, but why in the world with today's
gaming didn't we allow the multi player to be
    online?.....
Somebody make a consolized system that
is made for EMUS that are optimized for
online multiplay with retro games please....
It's friggan 2020 for the love of.....
Am I missing something or what?....
I mean can you ALREADY do that with
    the SWITCH?....
Like is the Nes Super Mario Bros. you get from
the virtual store able to let you be Player 1
and PLAYER 2 somebody in another
    location?.....
    😐IF NOT IT'S A SAD DAY INDEED......

Very interesting stuff. Too bad this stuff is so much of a pain in the ass to do. I can't fathom why stuff like the Sega Genesis Mini didn't use FGPA technology or get as close to perfect as they could get if these hobbyists are doing so. I like just being able to plug and play with a nice UI in HDMI. But unfortunately, especially on Sonic 1 the input lag is terrible! Makes me wish I still had my original Genesis and just went with a flash cart.
