What about A Good Year? Or Hannibal? Or, again, Exodus (that Moses one I mentioned).

For every awesome movie he has, there’s a totally stupid one.

Really, guys: I know you all love it, but Legend wasn’t that great.

Ridley Scott is a spectacular director visually, just not good writer.

Hey does anyone ever use their saturns/dreamcasts etc. as CD players? I was listening to a Zeppelin cd on my Saturn and it struck me hardly anyone probably uses the audio cd function in consoles anymore

This is one of my fave 7th gen games and it deserves an HD remaster. It should have come out on PS3 and Wii at the very least. Such a haunting game in atmosphere, story, characters. The feeling of loneliness on a post apacalytpic japan. Creepy at times and othersstugs at the feels real good. The OST is great.

South African Kevin Anderson has made it to the semifinals of Wimbledon. Huge win for him in his last match over the legendary Roger Federer.
Hoping now he goes at least one better and gets to the Final.

    Any Tennis fans here?

Used the Saturn all the time to play music bitd. Never had a CD player outside of a portable one, so didn't have much choice. Offspring Smash, Nirvana Nevermind and Megadeath Countdown to extinction. Good memories.

Not these days since don't own any more retro consoles.

Don't get me wrong I liked it, but it was less about Godzilla battling stuff, and more about some no-name whathisface trying to get to his family. Borrrring. The latest King Kong was a far better film, even if Samuel L Jackson's character was cliché as hell.

I also liked the 1998 Godzilla film.

I liked Godzilla'98. I'm not a big Godzilla fan so it doesn't really bother me if it's faithful or not like it does with other people. I thought it was a pretty decent popcorn movie. Godzilla '14 was a snorefest in places, with the good parts (Godzilla itself) too far and few apart. I liked the opening, with the scientist, and even when the son grew up, but when Godzilla/other monsters appear, they still focus on the son, and we get some soldier's searching for his family instead.

I'll take a dumb popcorn flick over that anyday (the soldier bits, the actual Godzilla scenes were great).

Godzilla '98 was passable as okay and aside of '14 my most liked recent Godzilla movies is '03s Giant Monsters All-out Attack.

No, I actually agree with you (about the recent Godzilla movie). The title character is in the movie for all of ten minutes or so.

However, I thought it was way better than it had any right to be ... especially after Godzilla ‘98. It was probably much more high-brow than it should have been. I think Kong of Skull Island nailed it.
