I bought this game from Blockbuster's Clearance Rack BITD. If only I had known why it was there. While I do agree with GelmiR about the little details thrown in the game, they far from save it. I've got to the last level but have never beat it. Partially because by the time I get a Game Over the game has pissed me off too much to try again. The driving parts of this game could have been so much better. But alot of the time I found Arnold going in circles chasing his metal ass. Oh, and IIRC, I never heard the Terminator Theme the whole game. Go figure. LOL

Broke this game out last night AND double post!

Fuck this game and it's Herman Munster looking Terminator. Everything about this game sucks. Especially the "driving" stages.

Control: Arnie moves like he's constipated and is very unresponsive. It's really sad that I had to jump through most of the game because Arnie is just SO slow. On the driving stages the bad controls hit an entirely new level.

Graphics: Shit. Arnie looks like Herman Munster, the color palette is dull and boring and there is nothing I'd remotely consider "eye candy".

Sound: Typical GEMS shit. Boring and uninspired BGMs abound in this game.

Fun Factor: The only fun I've had with this game is having the ability to turn it off. (That and having Arnie play chicken with a Semi and fail)

Fuck me, I couldn't get past the first level, let alone make it to the last. Dreadful, dreadful game.

I finished it for the first time about 1-2 years ago. But that was when I memorized the routes to/from Enrique
the locations of all future objects and the shortest/fastest way to get through Cyberdyne. These days I can get
to Enrique sometimes, at best I can reach Cyberdyne. I usually give up long before that, though. I really like the
first 3 levels, but it's not Terminator 1. I didn't always feel like that, T2 used to be one of my favorites. But in
the last few years, I've really started to appreciate T1 more and more.

We used to be OBSESSED with this game BITD. While this game has revealed its many flaws today, it still holds some of my fondest Genesis memories.

This game is still really diverting despite not being good in the traditional sense. The open world aspect was quite unusual at the time.

I tried giving this another go early today - oh my, it's one hell of a turd. New worst game on the system for me, up there with Home Alone 2 (the game!) and Wayne's World (again, the game).

how the hell did this turd rate a 5 ?
a 5 is too good for it it doesnt even live in the same vincity of 5

5 is what it aspires too while it lives out its miserable excistence consigned to be nothing more then a lowly 2 and a 2 because its somewhat functional
it looks like a nes game on a bender

its not worth the plastic its printed on

That's probably because you both seem to have an issue with projecting your subjectivity as objectivity .

Why do people care so much about the numerical score instead of the content of a review? It's all subjective. If something's presented objectively and thorough I don't see why people have to cry about the number. That's the thing with a reviewing democracy like Sega 16, all the reviews are culled from a large number of different people with different views, so there's no secure number scale. Just go by the content of the review.

    it does matter
the numerical score is a reflection of the content of the review
and the review is still vaugley positive over this turd of a game
