    Sonic Lemmings

Normally, gamers wouldn't want to bear the burden of causing hundreds of tiny beings plummeting to their deaths due to negligence. Luckily, Sunsoft's Lemmings allows for guilt-free gameplay. Based on the computer classic, the Genesis version offers a solid rendition that's sure to keep the little blue and green fellows walking blindly into oblivion for quite some time. That review hit the nail on the head! And as for the music, it`s a great game to turn the volume down on and listen to some of your own music!

I have the game and they do shout "Oh No!" when you hit the self-destruct...

In my copy they shout "do DO!". And then they make a silly farting noise when they leap through the exit.

I love the first Lemmings for the Mega Drive, but I didn't like the second game - I wonder why.
The feeling of accomplishment is awesome when you beat a stage that at first seemed to be impossible.

I remember I got very close to the end of the game, but I stopped playing when I lost my password list.

Ah man I used to love lemmings on the computer back in the day. I downloaded scorched earth and have been playing that on my laptop lately.

Lemmings is a fantastically fendish game which I sadly never got round to finishing. Credit to the reviewer (whoever he is) it nicely summed up everything, although I feel a 7 rating is a bit low.

I never really gave any of the series a chance after the first one. How do the others measure up?

Lemmings 2: The Tribes was a piss-poor game that introduced new Lemming types - I and my friends hated it because it just felt un-polished compared to the original.

You also have Lemix Lemming (?) on the PS1, which was a platformer, I think, and there's also the critticly hated Lemmings 3D...

So how many other Lemming games are there besides the original?

    Well let's see:

Lemmings had the add-ons "Xmas Lemmings" (new levels with a christmas theme) and "Oh No! More Lemmings" (simply more levels)

the regular sequels "Lemmings 2: The Tribes" and "All New World of Lemmings", where you had different "tribes" of Lemmings with a different skillset (a rather useless feature if you ask me)

the universally panned "3D Lemmings" (which added a third dimension which made things confusing as hell, since the overall overview was horrible)

and there's "Lemmings Revolution", which I've never played myself, so I can't really say anything about it.
The funny thing about an oxymoron is, even if you remove the ox, there'll always be a moron. The Question Remains: Y?

Phantar you forgot Lemmings Paintball for PC, yes I have a copy and I haven't ever played it.

Lemmings has to be one of the most popular and ported games of the 16 bit era, I'm actually surprised that it hasn't been reviewed until now, I never got into it though.
