I haven't really touched SOR3 in years, but I remember not really enjoying it anywhere near as much as the first 2 games. The terrible, ear grating music did not help, nor did the weird color outfits that they gave everyone.

I was also hoping to see Adam make a comeback. Sadly, that never happened.

I too really wanted to see Adam make a return to the series in SOR3. Hell, I wanted Max Thunder back too! Love playing as the big wrestler in SOR2.

I just wished that the new robot character had mid air throws and piledriver as Adam. Why they decided not to include this Adam play style is beyond me.

Adam or even Max would have been great. I don't use Skate, and Doctor Zan is crap. He's effective, but I don't gel with his style at all, I think he looks like a twit.

Victy is good though, feels good to use his moves. In BKIII his damage output is less compared to the other characters, and his special moves aren't quite as overpowered as Axel and Blaze which is nice.

May not be as iconic as II (which I didn't play back then: no video store and neither anybody I knew had it), but it's a very good beat em' up, chokeful of excitement and secrets. I even like Yuzo Koshiro's BGM as much as the other two games'. Too bad we had a censored version here in the West, but there are stupendous hacks and translations nowadays that let us enjoy this game as originally intended.

It is a very good beat em' up, one of the best on the system, it just doesn't quite match the heights reached by the first two Streets of Rage games. That is no shame on SOR3 either, SOR1 and 2 have gone down in history as two of the greatest beat em' ups of all time, tough acts to follow!
