    Default Alisia Dragoon

Released for the Genesis in 1992, Alisia Dragoon is an obscure little gem that never got the praise it deserved, probably thanks to SOA's brilliant marketing division (Gunstar Heroes or Ristar anyone?). Developed by Game Arts and boasting some excellent action and gameplay, it is, in my opinion, a game well worth hunting down. Read the review.

just played it for the first time. wow!!! hooked from the first second. how underrated is this game! it just went from unknown and unheard of to one of my top 10 genesis games. i wasnt expecting much but i got blown away, i love it when that happens!
I don't play old stuff for nostalgia, I play old stuff because the games are better.

    I have this game.
I could never beat either of the last two bosses.

    Hard as nails.

Just bought this game for 7 bucks and man is it hard!

No lives? No credits? I found one life in the 2nd level and got my ass handed by the end level boss.

Is there anyway to beat this game without cheats?

It's a hardcore game, you have to memorize the patterns of the enemies, proceed slowly and find all the hidden extra lives..

excellent game. This is another game I stumbled upon at the shop that pleasantly surprised me. Very original.

No, it's unbiased analysis. The only fanboyism is people who claim that Hyperstone Heist and Bloodlines are actually as good as their SNES counterparts.

I like the game play and especially the music,i also feel it is on the tough side and this is not helped by the fact the dragon companions are pretty useless..

Mystified here, I thought everybody knew this game...and just avoided it. Even the reviewer called it obscure. There couldn't possibly be different sprite values in different versions (if there are even those)? I remembered Alisia occupying more of the screen.

Love this game, got it in the mail a few weeks ago and showed it to a cousin of mine who is always skeptical of stuff, he absolutly loved it too, what a fun and unique title!

The game is really unique and fun. The soundtrack is second to none especially the intro sequence.
    Babies...the unfortunate by-product of a good time.

got a CIB U.S. copy myself, picked it up for the princely sum of $6.00 at a GAME STOP back in the early 2000s.

i've never managed to get past STAGE 2, though i honestly don't play it often, as i tend to get put off in a big hurry by maniacally difficult games.

still, it's a nice game overall, and Alisia is cute, at least in the in-game graphics.

i'd LOVE to replace my U.S. version with the JPN one, but i've only ever seen a single copy so far on EBAY, asking nearly $100 at that...

I didn't find any of the levels to be difficult after my first few plays.

The last boss was fairly hard, and i managed to get past him with half life bar remaining. That was a close call!

    Some tips:-

-Almost all boss fights are pattern oriented, so work on learning their pattern.

-Explore each level in order to find hidden dolls (1-ups). There is a one hidden doll in each level, and 2 in the spaceship ruins level.

-Explore each area to find hidden pods that give you energy and power icons.

-In the space ship ruins level, walk and duck often to avoid unexpected enemy fire. if you see a robot at the edge of the screen, take him out with the charge attack. Also, Charge your power before approaching a robot located in the background, because he will come to life and attack you.
