HowLongToBeat.com says it takes about eight hours which I'd say is about right. It is generally a lot easier than the early Zelda games too though there are a couple of times when you might be lost for what to do next. When I first played it, I had no idea about the Zelda comparisons as I was only familiar with The Adventures of Link. A Link to the Past is definitely a better game but this along with Story of Thor (Beyond Oasis) are two of the best adventure games on Mega Drive. Definitely worth your time!
