    I had (still have) the GG port of Space Harrier, and, taking into account the 8-bit ports of that awesome arcade, one can better appreciate the qualities of the dean of MD/GEN games. Sure, it looks empty and moves quite clunky, but then again the MD was at its earliest, and it makes up for it with huge sprites and a nice color palette. It plays rather similar to the 8-bit SH versions, too, so it kinda creates a sensation of being an enhanced sequel (it actually isn't, to be fair)
    However, it must be said, that background music is one of the most boring soundtracks for a game on the 16-bit era. It sounds like a cheesy ASMR video and ends up being almost depressing.

    Some one on FB described SH2 as a rail shooter for phantasy star. I kinda get where he's coming from with the similarities between the background structures and towers. All I know is I miss those giant polka dot mushrooms and cyclops mammoths.
