That was the first page to turn up in my Google search. Even when the Game Genie is powered off the games wont start up. They still think it's a copying device. Only two games work with it: Super Mario World and Super Mario All-Stars.

    Write Nintendo a nasty letter?

If the problem is what is stated over on DP, then the issue is something that Nintendo purposely created.

    Maybe TmEE has an idea.

Any updates? My later model 1 snes and game genie loads all games but not a single code for a single game works. Any help???

FYI I have version 1.0 Game Genie. I am assuming my SNES is a later version model 1 as it isn't yellow and has a silver warning sticker still on it.

There's a Hack getting Super FX, S-DD1, SA-1 to Run on the Game Genie

It'll work on a SNES with a SHVC-CPU-01 motherboard. I've tried using it on a SNS-GPM-CPU-01 motherboard with the same CPU & PPU chipset, but it wouldn't work with any game post-1992. I'm tempted to lower the value of the 470 ohm resistors.

I had the right idea back in '12. The first post has been updated with the mod instructions. Four games were tested:

Super Metroid: The "almost infinite..." & cutscene bypass codes work beautifully.

Tetris Attack: Master code failed, always boots to the anti-piracy screen.

Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures: Helder's "Infinite Power Pellets" code failed.

Goof Troop [1997 Majesco reprint]: Likely doesn't match the original release ROM. No codes worked properly. There was even an instance where a two player game started after single player was selected.

1.) Complete SFC/SNES cartridge connectors can be purchased on Ebay for much less than the cost of a Game Genie.

2.) Although 'Stunt Race FX' has the side pins, they don't connect to anything, so the game still works as intended when they're removed.

3.) In Spite of the dead links, most of wiggyx's photos have been archived, such as the overview, front, back, top & bottom edge of the PCB.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to chessage again.
    - Where it's always 1992 (or so).
    Youtube - Terminated
    BitChute - Fragmented, but functional
