    Default Interview: Mike Montgomery

In 1987, a company was founded in England and quickly began to turn out hit after hit, making a name for itself over several platforms. That company was the Bitmap Brothers, and you've probably played a few of their offerings, like Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe, Soldiers of Fortune, and Gods. Sega-16 recently had the chance to briefly talk with the Bitmap Brother's founder, Mike Montgomery, about his time on Sega's 16-bit wonder and the era in general. Have a look!

Cool interview, but it's a shame Mike's responses were so brief.

Yeah, I get the impression he wasn't into it.

I guess he's not all about the Genesis anymore. Maybe if we'd asked him some Amiga questions...

Where I first played CHAOS ENGINE. Much better on the Amiga, IMO, btw.

Amiga > everything. Mainly the graphics and sound.

The grpahics for little things, such as those coin things, fit the game a lot better. The color scheme was just a little different, but on the Amiga it was perfect. Also, I may be getting my CS/CS2 mixed up, but I believe on the Amiga you could also play as the Thug and the Preacher.

He didn't have much to say... But hey, that's just one blot on an otherwise impressive S16 interview record.
