SNES TiT came out in the Spring of 1992; HH came out very late in that year. SFII didn't make it to Genesis until 1993, due to that exclusivity contract.
Makes since! Nintendo LOVES Monopolizing! They did that with Lucasarts and StarWars for the Gamecube for a while!

Maybe, but Star Wars isn't exactly a hot gaming franchise.

Every NES TMNT was bad except for the third one. When I played the first TMNT on the NES it was like wTF am I playing? Then the arcade port was about as bad no it was worse that Probes MK ports on the Genesis.

    QFT times 3!!

TMNT 2 was way better than 3, it played better since you were actually allowed to use your special attacks.

It was an 8 bit port of a 16 bit game, I understand, but you have to take that into account.

I love the Rogue Squadron series. That is some good shit right there. Even the N64 one is good. All three have very impressive graphics. Supposedly the GC RSII runs like 15 million polygons, which is absolutely insane, Gamecube is supposedly only able to do I think 10-11 Million.

The NES port of the TMNT coin-op was HORRID. Worst collision detection out of all the TMNT beat-em-ups. You couldn't get more than 1-2 hits without the A.I smacking you around like a nappy-headed hoe. Cheap, cheap, cheap. This is remedied in TMNT3.

NES TMNT, despite the nostalgic value for many of us TMNT fans (it was the best-selling TMNT game by far, with 4 million or so copies sold. One of the best-selling third-party NES titles too) was a mediocre game with horrible, slippery controls.

I can beat TMNT 1...doesn't make it a great game or anything though.

I don't see getting knocked around by the AI in TMNT 2...I can get past the snow level without dying once...and I'm pretty sure I can get to the bridge without dying once too. (this includes all levels before and such)

I think I have that. It was released right when the GC was, correct? It was OK from what I remember... not bad but I don't really remember anything much about it.

TMNT 3 was a damn fine NES game, with excellent graphics for an NES game.

I've owned TMNT 2 twice in my life. First time was upon release (PIZZA HUT COUPONS!) and the 2nd it was given to me circa 2003. I've never played the 2nd copy I got.

I suffered through the shitty newer turtles game to unlock the actual arcade version of the game.

But didn't it have horrible, not the arcade game, music????

Why not just get the Xbox Live version?
Oh man, I wish someone would home brew us up some original Arcade game Turtles Genesis rom...sigh (obviously allowing us to do the special attacks without draining our life meter)

I hate TMNT 2 because every damn time I mention the actual arcade game stupid people always think I am referring to TMNT 2.

I think you're thinking of "Turtles in Time".

Why not just get the Xbox Live version?
One would have to have Xbox Live in order to get it.

    I think you just need a 360.

Here's what I read on Wikipedia.

"The arcade version of Ninja Turtles is included as unlockable extra in the 2004 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Battle Nexus video game for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube. The music was altered and most of the voice clips edited out"

This coincides with my previous thoughts, and what I remember from the review of the game when it came out.

When I bought both of those crappy games and an AR so I could unlock them w/o having to play them I was shocked at what had happened to the voices and sounds like really was there some copywrite issues out there?
