Fans of difficult side-scrollers like Ghouls ‘n Ghosts are going to have a blast with DaemonClaw. It requires strategy and practice to finish, but casual players might find the learning curve a bit too much. Perseverance is key here, as the game isn’t that long, and additional modes add some extra layers to an excellent title by BitBeamCannon.

It may not be a major step forward, but it brings creepy and fun exploration just in time for Halloween! We couldn’t wait to get our hands on it, so we’ve been playing relentlessly, and we can confirm that it was well worth the wait. This is shooter heaven, so gear up and get ready to save the world once more!
The debut title from Neofid Studios checks a lot of boxes of what you’d expect from a quality aftermarket title, and though not perfect, it’s pretty darn close. Classic side-scrolling action with some light RPG seasoning makes for a game that every Genesis owner needs to have, and it shows just how far homebrew development has come.
