Visual Concepts took its ground-breaking NBA 2K game and retooled it for the following season, adding online play and a new Street Mode. The result was the finest basketball game available at the time, and a contender seemingly able to take on anything EA or other publishers had to offer.

Interview: MariNaomi (SOA Localization Producer)
The Dreamcast is highly renowned for its original and quirky games, and it benefited greatly from Sega’s ability to come up with fresh and unique ideas. Seaman was perhaps the best example of this creativity, and we had the chance to sit down with MariNaomi, the localization producer who wrote the English language script. She had some great tales to share!
Golden Axe (Arcade)
Sega’s arcade hack-‘n-slash coin-op spawned a franchise that has lasted for decades and became an instant classic. Released amid a flurry of Double Dragon clones, its fantasy setting and awesome magic effects gave it a strong identity that caused brought in tons of quarters. This is the one that started it all.
