Sega Gear: Genesis Portable System
A company called Innex has obtained the exclusive distribution rights to a Genesis console called the Firecore, as well as two new licensed portables. One of them is the Retro Gen, a full-fledged modern equivalent to the Nomad, and the other is a smaller unit with twenty games built-in called the Genesis Portable (released overseas some time ago).

Yesterday marked the 20th anniversary of the Sega Genesis, and you didn’t think we’d forget, did you? Why celebrate one day when you can party from launch date to nationwide release? For that reason we’ll be reminiscing for the next month about the console that we love so dear through a series of features that highlight the little black box’s rise to fame.
