Argonaut Software’s attempt at a 3D platformer on the Saturn is original enough to remain fun, despite suffering all the growing pains the genre endured during the 32-bit era. A finicky camera and tank controls are likely to turn some players away, but there’s enough quality here to occupy an afternoon for those willing to make the adjustment.
His time at the top was all too brief, and many fans are still lamenting the Tick’s disappearance from the comic limelight. Hey, if the Ninja Turtles can make a comeback, why not him? During the height of his popularity, the Tick even had his own game, which seemed to signal the start of the character’s fall.
Disney is well known for their great Genesis platformers, but they weren’t the only one with such skills. Believe it or not, Probe Software came remarkably close with their movie tie-in The Pagemaster.
