Terminator 2: The Arcade Game

So your Menacer is collecting dust, and you’re wondering why the heck you got one in the first place. Though unlikely, it’s possible that you let Terminator 2: The Arcade Game slip under your radar. A pretty decent conversion of the arcade hit, it’s actually quite playable with Sega’s unwieldy weapon of light, and it’s quite inexpensive nowadays.

Menacer 6-Game Cartridge

In only a few years, we went from the greatness that was Duck Hunt and Rescue Mission to the total mediocrity that was the Menacer 6-Game Cartridge. Seriously folks, it takes longer to assemble the darn thing than it does to play through this dull assortment of mini games, and you’ll quickly find yourself reaching for Terminator 2: The Arcade Game.

Body Count

Why do companies release peripherals, only to let them starve to death? Sega’s Menacer often comes to mind whenever Genesis fans ask this very question. There were very few games for it, and one of the best was left in Europe (a rare example of PAL gamers getting a game U.S. Genesis owners didn’t). Body Count was an alien-filled romp packed with great graphics and intense action, and Sega never released it stateside.

Lethal Enforcers (CD)

Lethal Enforcers is one of the finest shooting games ever made. It’s the predecessor to games like Virtua Cop, Time Crisis, and House of the Dead, without it, these games simply would not exist. The game is simply spectacular; the graphics are stunning, and the sound is amazing.
