Sega’s Greendog the Beached Surfer Dude! seems to have a love/hate relationship with Sega gamers. After some serious playtime, we seem to lean towards the “love” crowd, but not by much.
Genesis Reviews
Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel
A game that manages to offend in gameplay as much as it does in premise doesn’t come along often, but somehow Sunsoft pulled it off. Still, people have a thing for small mammals, and there’s actually some meat on this platformer’s bones if you’re willing to stick around long enough to find it.
Bible Adventures
How a company could release a game as bad as Bible Adventures and still call themselves Christians is beyond me, but I’m sure they must have repented by now. Our full review has the whole story, but don’t worry. There is no penance required for reading it.
Disney’s The Lion King
The Lion King is a faithful and enjoyable adaptation of Disney’s classic film. Simba’s quest to retake his kingdom from the evil Scar is a challenging and beautifully-crafted platformer that shows Disney and Virgin Interactive at their finest!
Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster’s Hidden Treasure
More than a decade after they first appeared on consoles, the Tiny Toons are still showing up in video games. Back when they were still actually something new, they had two outings on the Genesis, including an excellent little platform adventure called Buster’s Hidden Treasure. Retaining the charm of the cartoon and spreading it evenly over a massive world, the game was a surprise hit.
