Galaxy Force II

Sometimes, what seems like a great idea on paper doesn’t work at all in practice. That was the case with the Genesis port of Galaxy Force II, which was incredible in arcades. What could have been a magnificent experience instead turned out to be a cold, empty shell devoid of any of the original’s qualities. It was essentially a train wreck in space, and if you ever had any doubt that such a thing could happen, you need only read our review to see.

King Colossus: Tougi Ou

With a full English patch by MIJET, the Mega Drive action/RPG King Colossus can finally be enjoyed by those who don’t speak Japanese. Some would say that it bears more than a passing resemblance to Falcom’s flagship franchise Ys, and that might be so, but it also copied the quality gameplay and fun quest, so it’s all good!
