Girl’s Garden

Girl’s Garden is mostly known for being the debut work of Sega legends Yuji Naka and Hiroshi Kawaguchi, but it’s also a decent little game that works well on the SG-1000. Young girls are definitely it’s target audience, but the gameplay and presentation are solid enough for everyone to have fun with it, regardless of age.

Lode Runner

Lode Runner is one of the most widely-ported games of all time, and the SG-1000 version is among the best. Sega did an excellent job of making the game fit on its console and even included a neat level editing feature. If you’re looking for a cool rendition of Doug Smith’s classic title to play on console, then this might be one you try.

Monaco GP

Though considered primitive by today’s standards, Monaco GP was a revolutionary title for its time. The SG-1000 port lacks much of the visual flair that made the arcade cabinet version so special, but the gameplay and soul are still there. If you’re looking for a fun racing challenge for your console, then Sega has you covered with this more than decent port.
