Magic Girl Featuring Ling Ling the Little Witch
Gametec’s Magic Girl gets a second chance on the Genesis, thanks to Super Fighter Team. Translated and bug-fixed, the game is now of the level of quality one would expect from a commercial release. It may be a bit short, but there’s enough action and fun in this cute-’em-up to make it a worthy addition to any Genesis fan’s game library.
Sagaia (Master System)
Taito brought its Darius goodness to both the Genesis and the Master System (outside the U.S.), and the latter turned out to be a very good version. It’s lacking in some areas, but the overall essence of the game still shines through. Fans will want to try and catch this fish and give it a play.
Tails’ SkyPatrol
The Game Gear gave Sonic’s sidekick Tails a chance to shine, and he was featured in several different types of games. A Japanese exclusive, Tails’ SkyPatrol was a shooter that’s as short as it is colorful. It may not be a long ride, but what’s there is worth looking into.
R-Type
Irem’s classic blasts its way onto the Master System! SEGA did an incredibly faithful job reprogramming this arcade hit, and it pushes the console to the limit (wait, I thought there weren’t any!). If you’re a fan of shooters or the R-Type series in general, then you need to grab this one!
