The Genesis is host to many quality tennis titles, and fans of the sport should count themselves lucky for this fact when they’re faced with the possibility of having to play a game as bad as this one. Shoddy programming and lackluster presentation are enough to make anyone go McEnroe and smash their controller while yelling “really?” at the television.

Onslaught

What could have been an excellent port of a good action/adventure title turned out to be the best example for Sega to lock out unlicensed games. Onslaught was the only Accolade game that didn’t work with a TMSS-equipped Genesis, and it’s for good reason. Let’s just say that the console seems to know better with this one…

Strategy games, while popular on PCs, went under a lot of gamer’s radars during the 16-bit era. With releases like Warrior of Rome, it’s easy to see why. Vague objectives and a dragging pace are just some of the problems plaguing this early title, and if war were actually like this, Caesar would never have left Italy.

Toys: Let the Toy Wars Begin!

No matter how old you get, you still have toys. back in 1992, someone thought it would a great idea to turn this love into a movie, and they even got Robin Williams to play the lead role. Of course, as with any big budget license, a video game was a must, so Absolute Entertainment produced one. The movie Toys was a box office flop, and the game? We can safely say that while it wasn’t worse than the film, it wasn’t really much better.
