Genesis Power Battles Vol. 03: Pulseman vs. VectorMan

It seems like our readers just can’t get enough of our Genesis Power Battles series, and that makes us very happy. We hope that reading about two 16-bit stars duking it out is as much fun to read as it is to write, and since it’s just so much darn fun, we’ve another installment already lined up for you! Volume three has the Genesis legend VectorMan going toe-to-toe with the electric hero Pulseman. Check it out to see who had the edge.

Genesis Reviews

Man Overboard! S.S. Lucifer

We here at Sega-16 love quirky, off-beat platformers. From Wani Wani World to Flicky, it’s all good, no matter how weird things get. So imagine our reaction when we booted up Man Overboard! S.S. Lucifer, which was unjustly left in Europe. Our friends over the pond were usually left out when it came to releases, but this time they lucked out. Or did they?

Genesis Reviews

Alien Storm

Hot on the heels of the classic Golden Axe series, Sega unleashed Alien Storm upon the arcade scene. It was a game that attempted to add to an already solid formula, and overall made a decent attempt. The Genesis version remains a fan favorite to this day, and hopefully Sega will soon rise from its stupor and give us a proper sequel. Until then, you’ll have to get by with our review of the cartridge version.

Sega Stars: Noriyuki Iwadare

You may not know his name, but you’ve almost certainly heard his music before. Noriyuki Iwadare has scored some of gaming’s true classics, including Lunar The Silver Star, Grandia, and Growlancer. He’s a true gaming legend and a Sega Star, which is why he’s the subject of our next installment. Have a read and enjoy!
