It took almost 20 years, but the third entry in Yu Suzuki’s magnum opus finally arrived. Was it worth the wait? Did it answer all of our questions? The answer to both questions is mixed, and where Shenmue III improves upon its predecessors’ faults, it conjures up some confounding new ones.

Blending platform action with the undead and a rockin’ soundtrack might not sound like the kind of things games are made of, but mr. Bones gave it one hell of a try. It’s not a game for everyone, to be sure. Stick with it a while though, and you just might find a decent title for your Saturn.

Namco, one of the big names in video gaming, developed Starblade for the Sega CD in 1992. It’s highly addictive and certainly true to the source material despite all the hardware limitations. If you’re a rail shooter fan, this is a game you must play
Tintin in Tibet
Tintin has been a classic comic hero for over a century, so it was only natural for him to get his own video game. It’s based on the 1960 book and features visuals were straight out of the comic. Lamentably, the gameplay and difficulty make this one adventure better left to the printed page.

Jet Set Radio did such a wonderful job of creating a living, breathing city to run around in. Though it was localized to the West, a lot of the in-game Japanese remained untranslated. Join us as we take a look at some of the signs detailing life in the game’s first area, Shibuya-chou.
