Blizzard’s Blackthorne is a popular action title that’s seen release on several platforms, and its combination of puzzle-solving, combat, and platforming has made it a classic among fans of similar titles, like Out of This World and Flashback. The 32X version has slowly crept up in price, becoming a real collector’s item, but is it for all the right reasons?

New 3D Golf Simulation: Devil’s Course
There are a ton of golf games on the Genesis. Some are true simulations, and others try to spice things up with a bit of fantasy or putt-putt mechanics. T&E Soft made such an attempt with Devil’s Course, which has some of the more outlandish and imaginative courses on the Genesis. Unfortunately, this import-only title suffers intensely from the pains of 16-bit 3D mechanics.
Nigel Mansell’s World Championship
There are lots of racers on the Genesis, and while most are worth playing, relatively few stand out above the pack. The majority tend to fall somewhere in the middle – not bad and not great. Nigel Mansell fits that description pretty well, as it doesn’t manage to pull ahead. Simplicity isn’t always a bad thing though, and despite its mediocre gameplay and visuals, some might still find it worth a few spins.
Radical Rex
Had your fill of mascots yet? Tired of furry heroes running around, saving the day? Well then how Rex? He’s different! He has no hair! Um, no? Not convinced? Well, we don’t blame you. Aside from not being a mammal, Radical Rex offers nothing really all that different from all the other platformers on the Genesis.
