Sometimes, what seems like a great idea on paper doesn’t work at all in practice. That was the case with the Genesis port of Galaxy Force II, which was incredible in arcades. What could have been a magnificent experience instead turned out to be a cold, empty shell devoid of any of the original’s qualities. Dungeons & Dragons: Warriors of the Eternal Sun
There’s nothing like a four-day weekend for getting caught up on one’s gaming pile of shame. Amid several hour stretches of Dragon Quest VIII (screw the haters; it’s amazing), some love was also given to another famous RPG series, which only saw one outing on the Genesis – Dungeons & Dragons. Warriors of the Eternal Sun is short and sweet and very much worth checking out.
After Burner III
Nothing is more depressing than seeing a beloved franchise take a hit in the family jewels. Such was the case with After Burner III, a game that ignited its thrusters to make a mach 3 jump from awesome to “just plain sucks.” Take a deep breath, leave your expectations at the door, and head on in to our full review.
Shining Force CD
In a bold move that pleased many fans, Sega upgraded and placed both Game Gear Shining Force games on a single disc for the Sega CD. They even went so far as to include some awesome extras, like a wonderful soundtrack and an exclusive battle! Shining Force CD is a definite purchase for strategy/RPG fans and Shining faithful alike!
