Xenocider
The first 3D shooter in almost two decades arrived on the Dreamcast in early 2021. Xenocider combined fast-paced action with presentation and gameplay one would expect from an official release back in 1999. It’s a great shooter romp that shows Sega’s last console isn’t done thinking.
Parodius
Konami’s unique blend of shooter action and cutesy humor was a big hit in Japan and Europe and was collected into a great two-game set. Sadly, U.S. gamers never got a release. They missed a solid collection that looked as good as it played. But, that’s what importing is for!
Yogi Bear’s Cartoon Capers
Yogi may be smarter than the average bear, but his Mega Drive appearance was strictly average. The game lacks any major gameplay issues, but its cookie-cutter formula and boring gameplay does little to inspire. Players might find it more fun to look for picnic baskets in their local park than play through to the end.
Enemy Zero
Warp’s ambitious, sci-fi survival horror romp was unique on the Saturn but it was also not very exciting. Repetitive environments, vague objectives, and uninspired puzzles take away from the amazing ambiance. Still, you might want to check out Enemy Zero just to experience the tension and fear for yourself.
