Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker stands as an unforgettable conformation of both the King of Pop’s weirdness and coolness. Unfortunately, it also serves as a reminder that stripped down arcade ports leave a sour taste in the mouth and that attempting to rectify the limitations of the console you’re porting down to is a bad move.

Bonanza Bros.
Another gem from Sega’s closet of barely known games would be thief based Bonanza Bros., released on the Mega Drive. Containing qualities that could be a violent adult based game Sega molded it nicely into something that the younger generation could relate to and also providing a fun yet short challenge for the rest of us.
Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master
While Revenge of Shinobi is regarded as one of the best titles early on in the Genesis’ life, there were a handful of problems I had with it to really keep it from becoming a gold classic. But Shinobi III fixes all of them and makes a marvelous game to boot.
Combat Cars
Lost in the shifting sands of the time there’s a little game called Combat Cars. It’s often referred to (if referred to at all) as a Micro Machines clone. Having never played Micro Machines, I don’t know whether that’s true or not. What I do know is that Combat Cars is a very nice arcade racer that’s worth being played and referred to without MM’s shadow looming over the conversation.
Demolition Man
Sly has come to the Genesis! Based on the Hollywood hit of the same name, this action smash has players take the role of Stallone, who’s out to kill Wesley Snipe before he can manage to make people copy his hair style!
