Micro Machines Military

Micro Machines have a proven track record on the Genesis, and no matter which one you chose, you’re bound to find a great game. Those who have already tried other releases in the series might want to check out Micro Machines Military, which puts a weapons-based spin on the gameplay. It’s not entirely revolutionary, but it still makes for a great time.

Nigel Mansell’s World Championship

There are lots of racers on the Genesis, and while most are worth playing, relatively few stand out above the pack. The majority tend to fall somewhere in the middle – not bad and not great. Nigel Mansell fits that description pretty well, as it doesn’t manage to pull ahead. Simplicity isn’t always a bad thing though, and despite its mediocre gameplay and visuals, some might still find it worth a few spins.

Super Skidmarks

Racing is fun, but racing with cows is SO much better! That’s a feature of Super Skidmarks that other racing games don’t offer, and the only thing really setting this game back (aside from a weird way of keeping cars together onscreen) is the fact that it doesn’t really run well on NTSC TV sets thanks to its PAL exclusivity. If you can play it though, check it out!

Formula One

The Genesis has a ton of racing titles, and while there are the classics like OutRun and Micro Machines, there are stinkers like Formula One. This game skimps on the graphics in favor of speed but forgets one major detail: control. A racer is nothing if it controls poorly, and that about sums this one up.
