Think you’ve finished all the RPGs on the Master System? We bet you haven’t played this one, especially if you’re in North America. As the only Ultima game to come to Sega’s 8-bit wonder, Quest for the Avatar brought a entirely different take on the console RPG genre and offered a massive world with an intricate morality system. It’s definitely a must-play for RPG fans!

Marsupilami
Arriving late in the lifespan of the Genesis, Marsupilami is a platformer that’s based on a popular European comic. It tries to mix up the genre by adding in a different type of gameplay mechanic, but it doesn’t always succeed as planned. Even so, it’s very playable and looks great, making it worthy of some attention.
Uwol: Quest for Money
The Genesis has enjoyed quite a lively revival in the past decade, and new games are coming from all over the world. 1985 Alternativo’s port of Uwol: Quest for Money may not be the deepest game out there, but it’s a solid port and a worthy addition to anyone’s Genesis library.
Batman Forever (Game Gear)
The Caped Crusader has long suffered a mixed history when it comes to video games. Some are good, and some are bad. Some, like Batman Forever, are downright horrible. Probe and Acclaim managed to distinguish themselves by making a terrible game across multiple platforms, and the Game Gear version is part of that unfortunate line.
World Class Leaderboard Golf
The Genesis isn’t wanting for golf games, and there are enough around for the average fan to find one that suits a personal preference. U.S. Gold’s World Class Leaderboard Golf is a decent entry into the genre, but it lacks the presentation that could have put it in the upper tier of console golf games. Still if you’re a fan, it’s worth some playtime.
