Argonaut Software’s attempt at a 3D platformer on the Saturn is original enough to remain fun, despite suffering all the growing pains the genre endured during the 32-bit era. A finicky camera and tank controls are likely to turn some players away, but there’s enough quality here to occupy an afternoon for those willing to make the adjustment.

Astro Climber
Badcomputer is back with another rock-solid Master System release that harkens back to the simple yet addictive Sega Card games of old. Astro Climber is super fun and challenging title that is going to keep you in your seat and glued to the TV. It’s also as affordable as it is engaging, so there’s no excuse to not get it and platform like it’s 1986.
Bug!
While Saturn fans awaited Sonic’s debut, they were introduced to a new character that blended both 2D and 3D gameplay for a new type of platforming experience. It doesn’t always work, but Bug! has enough charm and depth to offer a fun time for those looking for another platformer for their Saturn.
Taz-Mania (Master System)
Taz appeared on just about every Sega console during the early ’90s. Some were better than others, but the often-overlooked Master System version remains one deserving of some attention. It’s not the best of the brand, but what’s there is enough to keep you interested all the way through.
Captain Planet and the Planeteers
While not inherently a bad game, it suffers from a wide range of problems that combine to keep the good captain from reaching his full potential. There are some good ideas here, but sadly no amount of heart can make Captain Planet’s Genesis adventure a good one.
