So you’ve played through Klax, and you’ve mastered Columns. So now, you’re probably wondering what Genesis puzzle games are left to play. Well, I’ll bet you’d be surprised to learn that Wisdom Tree’s Joshua & the Battle of Jericho is a worthy addition to the list of puzzlers worth picking up. Many people have either never seen or disregarded it, and that’s a shame.

Every time I think we’ve seen it all on the Genesis, some rare game comes along and surprises us. Ball Jacks is one of those titles that comes out of nowhere. Unfortunately, it seems that it was lost in import limbo for a good reason, as the premise is perhaps its best feature. That’s a shame, as the thought of space crabs batting around huge, metallic balls sounds almost too cool to pass up.
The only Bomberman title on the Genesis is an excellent one that takes advantage of the Sega multi-tap. If there’s one game you need to pull out at parties, this is it!
Zoop? What in the world is a Zoop? Well, Zoop is the name of a game released for the Genesis late in the system’s life, as well as on other systems. It’s a puzzle game, but one that tries to be something other than a Tetris clone. Is it one of the many Genesis gems that got overlooked?
